Review Policy
Product recommendations need evidence, not vibes.
Landscapade reviews are built to separate hands-on testing, long-term use, researched coverage, category explainers, and products that have not been tested. The label tells readers what kind of evidence sits behind the claim.
Evidence Labels
A review should say what Landscapade actually knows.
Tested
Landscapade used the product directly and can describe setup, conditions, strengths, weaknesses, limits, and what was actually tested.
Long-Term Use
The product has been owned, used, maintained, repaired, replaced, or lived with long enough to discuss the slow truths that short trials miss.
Researched
Coverage is based on manufacturer documentation, labels, specs, warranty language, reputable sources, availability checks, and clear comparison criteria.
Not Tested
The product may be mentioned for context, but Landscapade has not tested it, owned it, or verified enough to recommend it.
Recommendation Standard
No product gets a free ride.
A product can be interesting, popular, or commercially available without earning a recommendation. Recommendations should be tied to a reader problem, evidence, and named tradeoffs.
- The product must solve a real homeowner problem.
- The evidence label must match what Landscapade actually knows.
- Safety, compatibility, durability, setup, maintenance, warranty, and climate limits must be named when they matter.
- Price, availability, merchant terms, and warranty details must be treated as changeable.
- Commercial relationships must be disclosed near the relevant recommendation when they exist.
Updates
Reviews should be revisited when prices, availability, models, support, warranty terms, labels, safety notices, or better evidence materially change the recommendation.
Disclosures
If a commercial relationship exists on a product page, disclosure belongs near the relevant recommendation, in plain language.
